Dear friends, First the bad news, this year we will not have the Santa Fe Salsa Rueda Festival. It has been an intense year for me in terms of work and I decided to take a break from the event. And to make matters worse, the fourth of July this year is on a Wednesday. That means we will not have a long fouth of July weekend. And financially speaking, to have the Festival this year is not cost effective. The good news is that I still intend to organize a couple of one-day workshops and a big party in the evening during the summer. That is the goal and the intention. I will let you know more detail soon.

On another note, Sarita Streng is organizing a Bachata Dance Workshop with Adam Taub This Weekend in Albuquerque. It will take place saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20th at Double Time Dance Studio 112 Morningside Dr SE Albuquerque. The workshops start at 10:00am and end at 1:30pm both days. Full Workshop Pass - $65 Individual Class - $15. Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to register if you haven't registered already. For more information please call 505-288-8713 .

Salsa Rueda classes continue this Friday,tomorrow, at Odd Fellows.

Nosotros will be at the Lodge this Friday, tomorrow, 9:00pm, $7 cover.

Havana Son will be at Santa Ana Casino at Sadie's (trio), this Friday, 6:30 - 9:30pm

Havana Son will be at Hotel Chimayo, Santa Fe, this Saturday, 7:00 - 10:00pm

2. Saturday, July 7th, Havana Son at El Rancho de Las Golondrinas Wine Festival, Santa Fe, 3-5PM.

3. Friday, August 17th, TIEMPO LIBRE, Grammy nominated Cuban music band, at the Lensic, 8:00pm, $12 - $42, definitely a must see!
